A few months have passed and Secondlife didn't cross my mind at all, nor did my parcel I was renting out. I guess I can win the award for worst tenant ever in SL. My rental was past due by a few weeks, and I found last night after logging in for the first time in a while, my permissions are gone, and the builds on my parcel now have a forever home in my inventory's lost and found folder. Eviction is a swift, silent and almost painless process in SL if you're renting from another user. (I'm not too sure about LL's eviction process!)
In complete honesty, my efforts to revitalize my store were only half-hearted; as mesh is becoming more and more popular, I'm becoming more and more behind on how to generally make stuff that isn't primative-based in SL. I think I'll throw in the towel for now and wander around sandboxes once again as a nomad on a quest for my own slidentity.

This is what defeat looks like - And the rent's gone up anyway, so phooey! |
Farewell yet again Xandia, we will meet again soon. Next time I come rent a parcel maybe you'll switch owners again? (I've literally lived here on and off for the past 5 years.)
In the meantime, I need to find a spot to call home. Is squatting on abandoned parcels still a thing?
Til next time,
Markiz
