The Arcade and it's Lag

So a while back, Monty showed me this place called The Arcade that's literally just full of Gacha machines. What are Gacha machines, you ask? They are basically a vendor that has multiple items loaded into it. A shopper will pay a small amount of L$ (usually between $10 up to $100 per 'play'), and randomly receive one of the items. It's basically like a gamble, hoping whether or not you get the preferred item. It's a craze that's led many to their doom....well...empty wallets.

This place is INCREDIBLY full all the time.... at least when I try to enter it. The way I entered the sim this evening was literally me spamming the teleport button until someone left. I can't browse comfortably which is such a shame for such a neat sim. Because it's always packed with people from everywhere, it's incredibly laggy for my computer. I always need to turn my graphics settings down to their lowest preferences in order to maybe lag-walk my way around and have a look.

Not pleased.
I dumped my lindens on some really random things, and ended up handing out over half of what I got to people looking for certain colors and styles of things. There were quite a few nice people there, so it was good.

I did notice one thing though... people were wearing hideous shoes.

If this is a SL fad, I hope it ends soon.
Anyway. Secondlife is pretty barren these days other than shopping centers. I've come to the point where I just log on, re-dress my avatar, and log off.
