I just purchased a new graphics card a few days ago from Fry's Electronics... the EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 and I can tell you right now that it's pretty damn awesome. It makes Secondlife so pretty and I can actually start using some of the more advanced graphics options in the preferences. Along with my card I purchased a new LG HDMI 23" Monitor that is fantastic. It was more or less for some personal projects I need to get started on, but SL looks pretty great on it.
I started using the newest 64-bit Firestorm release, and I am pretty okay with it. I mentioned in a previous post that I was excited about Project Interesting - and to be completely honest, it was a good step in the right direction for Linden Labs and for those who can't afford to buy the latest in graphics cards or computers for that matter, to run Secondlife. I went back to firestorm with the impression that it would be the same as I left it long ago. And it is.
My new graphics card makes me feel like a SL photographer again. I want to take pictures of everything and everyone; regardless of whether or not they think I'm perv camming them. I may have more and more adventures in the coming weeks ahead that may illustrate and reanimate my love for secondlife.
